One of Europe's foremoste Baroque ensembles plays at Bosjökloster with soprano Maria Keohane as a guest soloist.
The program includes a Händel ouvertyr, Händel arias with Maria Keohane, a cello concert by Vivaldi with international soloist Mime Yamahiro-Brinkmann and Vivaldi's violin concerts The Four Seasons with the ensemble's concertmaster Nils-Erik Sparf as the soloist.
The Drottningholm Baroque Ensemble shines brightly in the world of Baroque music. The ensemble's delight in playing adds a special lustre to their period instruments. This special quality has characterized the ensemble since 1971 when it was founded by Lars Brolin, at the Royal Opera House Orchestra.
The group’s sparkling sound and dazzling technique have brought world-wide fame and have invited tours of Europe, the Far East, the USA and Australia, as well as stage and recording collaborations with many celebrity soloists.
